At the start of this month I embarked on four weeks of solo travel to L.A. Solo travel is never really something I had ever thought of doing before this trip and I can say that one of the greatest things about this four weeks is that it has taken me out of my comfort zone. Plans changed and I didn’t know what I was going to be doing, but I knew I wanted to do something and to go somewhere. So I took the initiative, jumped in countless Uber’s and made a plan to go see something new everyday. Welcome to my L.A travel diary!
The saying says that “not all those who wonder are lost” and it can not be more true. During these four weeks I found myself, as cliche as that might sound. I found myself spending days alone, not having an agenda, chilling out and letting my worries run away. Each day presented something new. Whether that was going to the beach, seeking out a new museum or simply taking a walk around to see what I could find. My L.A travel diary turned into a completely different trip than I had planned.
Solo travel is something I think that every person should do at least once in their lifetime.
It is definitely daunting, but its is just as exciting. However, after four long weeks away I can say I am finally ready to head on home back to Sydney. My flight isn’t until 10:30pm, which gives me the perfect opportunity to write this post. It gets to that stage where after being away from the ones you love you appreciate them that much more. I can not wait to get home and to see my family and friends again, but will also not forget about this wonderful trip.
