BEHIND THE LENS WITH AMY

On what was possibly the most blue bird day in Sydney I shot some more photo’s for a portfolio in Circular Quay and The Rocks in Sydney with an incredible model Amy. I have to pinch myself every time whenever I am in the city because even though I live in Sydney I am always amazed at how beautiful it is. One of the best things about the city is that there are lots of places that are amazing for photos which made today’s shoot that much better.

Recently I have been getting an urge and longing to move overseas to London in the next few years. Once I complete the degree I am doing now the dream is to get a job in London and study either fashion marketing or fashion photography part-time. If that ever comes to be a reality I think I would get extremely home sick, not only for the city but for home and family.

Working with Amy was absolutely amazing. The two hours we were shooting went by in a flash. It was great to work with a model who was great at stepping out of her comfort zone to create images from differing perspectives. The aim or theme for the shoot was geometric. For the strange creative individual that I am she took direction well while I was explaining ‘geometric’ and what seemed like gymnastic-like poses. Not to mention as well we were shooting on a very cold day, despite the clear blue bird weather looking deceitfully warm. Thank you Amy for allowing me to photograph for your portfolio and I hope you all like these photos!!
