EXPLORING COCKATOO ISLAND

As of recently I have been really getting into photography. I’ve always been creative but have always been the one to be behind the camera. Don’t get me wrong, I love being behind the lens but I have found myself more and more wanting to go further and push myself creatively. A few years ago Mum and Dad bought a Canon and they never really used it so recently I took it upon myself to start learning, and the best best way to start is practice. Photography and styling is definitely something I want to look at pursuing professionally in the future.

Cockatoo Island in Sydney has to be a photographer’s paradise.

It has a very industrial feel and lots of little nooks and cranny’s to discover and explore, plus you can’t help but feel enwrapped with its history and origins. Today myself and my Mum and Dad took a day trip to the island to just explore and have some fun taking photos. Cockatoo Island is super easy to get to as it is only a short ferry ride away from I live. (If you want to visit you can get a Ferry from Circular Quay easily).  I hope you all enjoy these photo’s. I need to start finding other places around Sydney to not only photograph but share with you all here on the blog.
