Finally! I am so happy to say that the weather is finally cooling down right now. I’ve always been a fan of autumn/winter, especially the fashion. I love how you can play up a look with different layers. I think the main reason why I prefer the colder months is that no matter how hard i’ve tried in the past I just can’t tan. I’ve come to learn to embrace being fair (plus, if I want a bit of colour I can always go and get a fake tan) as i’ve learn’t the hard way through various uncomfortable and painful sunburns. Stay sun smart people, trust me! Skin cancer is all too common… But that’s off topic.
If there is one thing that I think is a staple in autumn it is a classic coat. I’m absolutely obsessed with this one that I purchased from Review last season. Red is such a stand out and definitely a head turner. This coat completes almost every outfit. I’ve been finding this outfit has been a real go to for me lately as it incorporates almost everything I love about autumn – the floppy hat, the knee high boots and of course the long coat. We usually associate the colder months with darker colours and dressing more subdued. I challenge you to step outside the box and try something different this autumn. Bright colours don’t just have to be for summer. Fashion is all about breaking boundaries and having fun right?
Review coat (similar here), Forever New Jeans (similar here), Knee high boots (similar here), BCBG MAXAZRIA felt hat (similar here), shirt (Looking out for where I picked up the exact shirt from as I know it’s still on sale. Just a slight problem in that I can’t find the shirt to check atm… Any plain or graphic long sleeve shirt should work. As soon as I find it I will have it linked here, so keep a look out. I’ve linked a shirt that, while not similar will work just as well here).
