Keeping It Khaki

This weather lately has been getting me all kinds of frustrated. One minute it’s sunny and the next it’s overcast and raining. It’s only been this past week that the weather has finally stabilised. With the long weekend coming up and today being good Friday, the weather finally decided to be nice and it was absolutely stunning, thank goodness (blog post to come). Who wants to be crammed inside during the holidays?

The day when I had booked in photo’s for today’s OOTD was no exception to the crazy and wild weather. The morning of the shoot was pouring with rain.. And stupid me didn’t check the weather forecast for the coming week. Luckily for me the weather subsided and actually turned out to be in my favour. While it was overcast it wasn’t raining, which actually made for better photos as it eliminated sun and lighting issues that you can sometimes get with outdoor shoots. I guess things happen for a reason.

This OOTD has been one I have been wearing a lot recently, especially for uni. I love it because it is causal and and comfortable but also fashionably ‘with it’ if you get my gist. The top is from one of my recent brand obsessions The Fifth Label. One of my favourite things about the top is that it is Khaki. A colour trend that isn’t going away any time soon and something that goes with all skin tones. To keep with the whole casual yet still looking trendy vibe I paired the top with some simple black leggings and white sneakers.
