I don’t think it is any secret that Australia is home to some of the most idyllic locations. Hamilton Island  is one of those locations. It is one of my (and my families) favourite go to at home holiday destinations. Located just off north Queensland this island truly is a magical paradise. I recently visited a few weeks ago and thought I would show you all the photo’s from that trip.

I have been extremely fortunate to have been able to travel as much as I have given I am only nineteen.  Although travelling overseas is amazing, nothing beats travelling and exploring your home land. Hamilton Island holds a special place in my heart (as corny as that sounds). This island is the first place I ever went on holidays with my family. I have so many fond memories as a little girl here (I have no doubt this plays a huge part to my love for this place).

Recently I have been getting a few of you on Instagram direct messaging me asking me where I would recommend going when travelling to Australia. Hamilton Island is always at the top of my recommendations.

The great thing about Hamilton Island is there is always something to do. If you ever visit I highly recommend Visiting White Haven Beach and snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef. The best way to get around the island is by golf buggy, as there literally are no cars. Ah it makes me want to go back so much while writing this right now! I feel I can’t thoroughly put into words how much I love this place.. So I guess i’ll let the photos do the talking…

Oh and before I sign off on this post if you ever visit be sure to keep a watch out for the cheeky cockatoo’s!!
